OPP issues arrest warrant for suspect in firearms incident

Lanark OPP has issued a warrant for the arrest of a man in relation to a firearms incident that occurred Friday night in Innisville.
William “Willy” Scharf faces charges related to weapons offences, threats and assault.
Lanark OPP responded to the Innisville South area shortly after 6:30 p.m. Friday evening when it was reported that shots had been fired at a residents.
No injuries were reported and the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police say they believe the incident was targeted. They say the suspect also mad targeted threats to other specific individuals.
While police say they do not believe there is a threat to public safety, if the suspect is spotted they say not to approach and to contact police as he is considered to be dangerous and may be armed.
Scharf is described as white, in his early 50’s, 5’7″, medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes. Police say he may be operating a Black 2008 Dodge RAM bearing plate AT54660.
