Driver arrested for stunt driving and possession

A driver was arrested Saturday night with stunt driving and drug related charges. The Carlington Neighbourhood Resource Team (NRT) stopped a pickup truck driving more than 40km/h over the speed limit.

Officers arrested the driver who was found with crack cocaine. After a search of the vehicle, officers also found fentanyl, crystal meth, crack cocaine, pills, cash and a digital scale.

Police have yet to publicize the official charges.

The Carlington NRT consists of eight police officers and one sergeant, all who have undergone neighbourhood specific training.

Their purpose is to walk around and get to know the neighbourhood. The NRT enforces the law, but is more focused on prevention and intervention.
