Police investigate collision resulting in death of cyclist

Ottawa Police Service is investigating a fatal collision between a vehicle and a cyclist.

It happened on May 21 at Bank Street and Dazé Street near the South Keys Shopping Centre. Emergency services responded to a call of a vehicle collision involving a male cyclist around 2:40 p.m.

The cyclist was transported to hospital and succumbed to his injuries on May 25.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
