A driver is facing multiple charges after being arrested twice in one weekend by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) for driving while under suspension.
In a post on X, OPP say officers on Highway 417 in Ottawa on Sunday noticed a vehcile driving past an OPP cruiser while using a cell phone.
During a traffic stop, it became clear the driver’s licence was under suspension. Further investigation uncovered that the same individual had already been arrested just two days earlier on Friday.
That incident occurred in Russell Township.

In both incidents the suspect was operating borrowed vehicles. Both vehicles were impounded.
Criminal charges and Highway Traffic Act violations were laid in both cases, OPP say.
