It was March 2008 when Calvin Vanness went missing.
Now, 17 years later, investigators are looking for more information surrounding what happened and who’s involved. In a release, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said they are confident that someone has “the key piece of information” in the disappearance.
The Ontario government is offering a $50,000 reward for details that lead to an arrest and conviction of whoever is found responsible.
Police said Vanness (65 years old at the time) was last seen on March 26, 2008, driving his car near Belleville, Ont.
Five days later on Apr. 1, 2008 his vehicle was located in a parking lot on Highway 38 in Kingston.
The car is a grey 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix with red flames on the side and police say another individual may have been driving it during this time.

The OPP in conjunction with the Belleville Police Services have treated this case as a homicide since April 2010 under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous information can be provided through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online here. There, you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
