Crack cocaine seized, 3 people arrested in OPP drug bust

Three people are facing trafficking charges after police used a search warrant on a home and found drugs.

Provincial police from the Bancroft detachment began the investigation this past spring for possible drug trafficking taking place in the small rural town. On June 26, officers executed a search warrant with other units, including canines, on Snow Road.

Inside, three people were arrested. Combing through the home, police said they found 38 grams of suspected cocaine and over 20 grams of suspected crack cocaine.

Charles Clancy, 63, Kathleen Clancy, 37 and William Parks, 33, of Bancroft have been charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Parks, police said, is charged with an addition offence of failing to comply with a probation order.

The three accused were held in custody and will appear in court in Belleville.
