Ottawa man charged following head on collision

An Ottawa man is facing a careless driving charge following a head on collision in South Frontenac, north of Kingston.

The crash was reported just after 6 a.m. on Thursday near the intersection of Perth Road and Bedford Mills Road.

Police say the drivers were the sole occupants in their vehicles. Both drivers were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Frontenac OPP has now charged one of the drivers, a 38-year-old male from Ottawa, with careless driving.

Perth Road was closed during the cleanup from the crash but has since reopened.
