Police operation halted traffic to recover stolen vehicle on parkway

Ottawa police closed both directions of the Kichi Zibi Mikan Parkway due to an ongoing operation on Wednesday.

In an email to CityNews, Ottawa police said that the incident is related to an ongoing stolen vehicle recovery effort and an arrest.

In a post, officials said that the parkway has reopened between Woodroffe Avenue and the Transitway.

It is unclear whether this was a single incident or part of a larger operation.
