There is an ongoing police presence in the area of 400 Cumberland St. in Ottawa’s Byward Market after an individual was stabbed multiple times.

OPS says it received the call around 9 a.m. Sunday morning.

First responders found a person suffering stab wounds. The individual was transported to hospital. Police have not released information regarding the victim’s condition.

Police have not released any information about suspects and have not announced any arrests.

Officers remain in the area canvassing for witnesses.
