OPP search for vehicle in hit-and-run

Renfrew OPP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in Arnprior.

Police say it happened on Nov. 29 at the intersection of McLachlin Street North and Elgin Street West.

A pedestrian was struck by a trailer that was being pulled by a pick-up truck.

Police say the vehicle stopped briefly nearby but allegedly left without checking on the pedestrian.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital where they were treated for bruises and swelling.

Officers say the truck is an older “beat up” dark-coloured pick-up. The trailer is described as open and aluminum.

Anyone with information or relevant footage is asked to contact Renfrew OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and refer to incident E251610865.
