Police investigating violent overnight home invasion robbery in Smiths Falls

Lanark Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a home invasion incident in Smiths Falls.
Police said they were called to a residential property on Glenview Road this morning around 1:00 a.m.
A 19-year-old in a camping trailer on the property reported three men wearing masks entered the residence, assaulted them and stole a number of items.
The alleged suspects then left to a vehicle that had been parked nearby.
Police said the victim suffered minor injuries and was assessed by paramedics as a precaution.
The incident is believed not to be random and there’s no risk to public safety, according to OPP.
Lanark OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services is assisting with the investigation and ayone with information or surveillance video are encouraged to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
