Man facing 7 charges in connection to child luring case

Ottawa police laid several charges against a 22-year-old in connection with an ongoing investigation over several months in 2024.
On Wednesday, police said they executed a search warrant at a home in Alfred, Ont., around 6:05 a.m. They were searching the house in a case that accused the man of several child luring incidents that happened between March and December 2024.
As a result, police charged Joshua Christopher Corput with:
- Luring a child
- Making sexually explicit content sexually explicit material available to a child
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Making child sexual abuse and exploitation materials (CSAEM)
- Distributing CSAEM
- Possessing CSAEM
- Exposure of genitals to a person under 16
Officials said that the accused lured children using social media, which is why they are releasing the list of usernames they believe he operated under.
They include:

Police believe there could be more victims and the investigation is ongoing.
