This Ottawa restaurant made Canada’s top 100 best patios list

With summer-like temperatures on the way to the nation’s capital, one organization released its top 100 patio favourites in Canada, and one is in the city.

According to data shared by OpenTable, just under three-quarters of Canadians plan to dine outdoors at least once a month or more at a restaurant during the summertime. With the perfect long weekend temperatures expected, OpenTable revealed its top 100 restaurants for outdoor dining.

Arlo, in Ottawa’s Centretown neighbourhood is a win restaurant that brings comforting food and “good tunes,” the release notes.

The atmosphere for its patio is “laid back and cozy” and the menu, headed by Chef Jamie Stunt is “refined” and inspired by the people and places important to the staff.

The eatery received some buzz earlier this month when it made Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants List, which has over 160 experts from across the country.

Finishing off the list of Ottawa restaurants is Arlo at number 77, a drop from 50th place last year.

“Customers flock for ever-changing menus that exemplify playful but potent ingredient-focused Canadian cuisine,” the review reads.

The Centretown eatery is busy but still creates moments of intimacy past the “buzzy” bar and front room.
