Man facing attempted murder charges in hair salon stabbing

OTTAWA – An Ottawa man is facing attempted murder charges in connection to an attack at a local salon.
According to the Ottawa Citizen, a man has been charged in the stabbing of two people at a hair salon on Montreal Road.
Last Friday, a woman and the owner of the salon were stabbed, before the attacker apparently turned the knife on himself and fled.
The paper says an unsuspecting motorist hit the attacker as they fled the scene, leaving him with a broken leg and a head injury.
Taher Hashemi, 47, is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
