Two gyms in Ontario have implemented a no-fee temporary membership freeze due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions in the province.
GoodLife Fitness and Movati Athletic will both shutdown on December 24 and will remain closed until the Ontario government lifts the latest lockdown measures.
We are disappointed; however, we understand the seriousness of the situation and the importance of taking action to limit the spread of COVID-19. Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our Members, Associates and communities. (2/3)

During the first lockdown in the spring, GoodLife had a $5 dollar bi-weekly fee for members who put their membership on hold.
In a statement, Movati said all bi-weekly and monthly membership payments will be suspended on Boxing Day, and no dues will be charged or collected when the facility is closed. Fees will start again when the clubs can reopen.
Movati Athletic will close on Christmas Eve at 3 p.m. but the gym will still be offering virtual fitness classes during the 28 day province-wide shutdown. GoodLife Fitness will close its doors at 1:15 p.m., Thursday.
