Garry J. Armstrong outbreak continues with new confirmed case of COVID-19

An employee at the Garry J. Armstrong long-term care home has tested positive for COVID-19.

The news was confirmed Friday night by Donna Gray, general manager of community and social services, in a memo to council.

The home, located on Island Lodge Road, remains on a facility-wide outbreak.

The long-term care centre has been on an outbreak status since February 3.

Communications have already been provided t staff, residents and family members.

The home has gone through five other outbreaks since April 20, 2020.
