A man's death at the site of a new home build, east of Carleton Place, is the subject of a Ministry of Labour investigation.

According to the ministry, the worker died, Monday, January 25, after a wall collapsed on him at the construction site on Westar Farm Way, near Flewellyn and Dwyer Hill roads, in rural southwest Ottawa.

In an e-mail, the Ministry of Labour tells CityNews that it has issued one requirement against Bacic Forming Concrete Ltd. (the sub-contractor that employed the worker who died). The ministry has also issued a total of two orders and four requirements against the builder, Grizzly Homes.

The ministry has not revealed the details of those orders and requirements.

The investigation continues.
