‘Freedom Convoy’ reunion plans shift from Ottawa to Winnipeg organizers reveal in FB video

Plans for a 'Freedom Convoy' reunion in Canada's capital have now been shifted.

In a recent Facebook video post, James Bauder, the founder of the Canada Unity group, said that as a “very special gift” to residents of Ottawa the 'Freedom Convoy 2.0' event will be held in Winnipeg and not in Ottawa as originally planned.

Bauder said in the video that the 'Freedom Convoy 2.0' will drive right by Ottawa, honk, and head to Winnipeg.

Initially, 'Freedom Convoy 2.0' was planned for Ottawa from Feb. 17 to Feb. 21, 2023.

Now, the event is scheduled for Feb. 17 to Feb. 20, 2023 in Winnipeg.

Bauder was arrested on Feb. 20 in Ottawa as police cleared the occupation and is facing charges of mischief to obstruct property, disobeying a lawful court order and obstructing a peace officer.
