Cocaine, pot, MDMA, cash uncovered at two Barrhaven homes

A pair of Ottawa men are facing drug-related charges after police seized cocaine, marijuana and MDMA in homes on Fairlop Way and Simran Private in Barrhaven.

Ottawa police executed the search warrants on May 26 after a seven-month joint investigation with the OPP Biker Enforcement Unit (BEU).

Items seized included:

  • More than $150,000 in Canadian currency
  • 18 kg of MDMA 
  • 1 kg of cocaine
  • 1.5 kg of cannabis marijuana
  • Three vehicles and other drug paraphernalia

Truong Dang, 51, and Byron Jones, 31, were arrested and charged with numerous Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Cannabis Act, and Possession of Proceeds of Crime offences. 

They are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, May 27.
