Arrest made after string of commercial robberies in Manotick, Osgoode and Metcalfe

A 29-year-old from Kemptville is facing nine charges after a handful of robberies in south Ottawa.
Ottawa police officers responded to four commercial robberies between January 7 and February 24:
January 7 – A man entered a business on Beaverwood Road, off Rideau Valley Drive in Manotick, with his face covered and demanded money. The suspect then fled the area on foot.
January 12 – The suspect entered a business on Osgoode Main Street, near the Osgoode Centennial Community Centre, with his face covered and demanded money. He then fled the area on foot.
February 22 – The suspect entered a business on Victoria Street, just west of 8th Line Road in Metcalfe, with his face covered and demanded money. He then fled the area on foot.
February 24 – The suspect entered a business on Mitch Owens Road at River Road, with his face covered, pulled out a knife, and demanded money.
After the last incident, responding officers got information that the suspect was headed to Kemptville. The Ontario Provincial Police was then able to arrested the suspect.
Nicholas Joyce-Labossiere has been charged with:
- Robbery (four counts)
- Disguise with Intent (four counts)
- Possession of a weapon (one count)
Joyce-Labossiere remains in custody.
