OPP seize drugs at traffic stop

Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a 65-year-old man after seizing drugs at a traffic stop in Pembroke on April 15. 

After a field sobriety test was performed on a driver on Fraser Street in Pembroke at roughly 1:30 p.m., Stephen Kelly Stalkie of Laurentian Valley Township has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – hydromorphone
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 7, 2022.
