Police identify victim of homicide in Kingston

Police officers in Kingston have identified an elderly man who was murdered at a home just north of Limestone city.

Jahzerah Berndt, 88, was found dead at a home on McKendry Road, where he lived alone.

Homicide investigators remain at the crime scene and police say no arrests have been made so far.

Kingston police and the East Region Coroner's Office responded to a call for the death on Monday, Nov. 14.

Kingston police say there is no known risk to public safety.
