OPS investigating three separate cases of gunfire in the past 12 hours

The Ottawa Police Service is investigating reports of shots fired near Pinecrest and the Queensway, in the second case of gunfire on the same street in less than 12 hours.
Ottawa police officers were called to the area of Ramsey Crescent and Dumaurier Avenue, late in the morning on Monday, Sept. 18. No injuries were reported and there have been no arrests made at this time.
Police said to expect a heavy police presence in the area.
As of 4:38 p.m. on Monday, police said the operation in the area concluded, and there is no threat to public safety.

This is the second case of gunfire on Ramsey Crescent within 12 hours.
Shortly before 1 a.m. Monday, police were called to the same area after residents heard gunshots and at least one vehicle was seen fleeing the area.
Police arrived to find shell casings, but no victims nor suspects.
Another case of gunfire was reported around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17, on Netley Circle in Findlay Creek. Police also found shell casings at that location, but no victims.
Ottawa police said to expect a police presence in the Ramsey Crescent area, during the day on Monday, for the shooting investigation.
