A large scale joint-police investigation in the Outaouais has led to the seizure of drugs, money, weapons and vehicles.
The investigation into organized crime, drug trafficking and illegal firearms involved the Outaouais Regional Mixed Squad (ERM), the Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) and the MRC des Collines Police Service.
The investigation led the nine searches in Gatineau, Thurso and Papineauville, including five residences and four vehicles.
Police seized, among other things:
- Around four kilograms of cocaine
- More than 12,000 methamphetamine pills
- Approximately $57,000 in Canadian money
- Five weapon imitations
- A pellet gun
- Four vehicles
Police say the items seized could help demonstrate the involvement of one or more people in drug trafficking activities in different sectors.
The investigation continues.
