One critically injured in Michele Heights shooting; OPS investigating

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is investigating a shooting that happened on Sunday in the capital’s west end that left a 20 year-old man with critical injuries.

Police said they responded to the 2900 block of Michele Heights at around 2:30 p.m. after receiving several 911 calls about a shooting in the area.

Emergency crews found a 20-year-old man with critical injuries on scene. He was transported to a local hospital.

There were no other injuries reported and no arrests have been made.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

They asked that anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to call the West Criminal Investigations Unit or the Guns and Gangs Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2666 or 5050 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
