Child pedestrian involved in ‘serious’ vehicle collision in Nepean

A child was involved in a “serious” collision with a vehicle in Nepean on Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of Viewmount Drive in the Fisher Glen area of Nepean. Officials say the incident happened at 2:46 p.m.

“The call was for a child pedestrian struck by a vehicle,” Marc-Antoine Deschamps, public information with Ottawa paramedics, said. “The child was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.”

The injuries are said to be not life-threatening.  

Viewmount Drive closed between Aldercrest Drive and Parkside Crescent for the investigation.
