Man charged after patio furniture thefts in east end

Ottawa police arrested and charged a man in connection with multiple outdoor furniture thefts.

According to officials, the thefts took place in the city’s east end using a rental truck. Community members assisted officers in the case.

A 33-year-old man from Ottawa is facing offences of:

Loitering/prowling at night
Mischief under $5,000
Theft under $5,000

Officials are asking the public to secure outdoor furniture properly and to remain vigilant.
