Woman killed in Ottawa Valley after collision with horses

Provincial police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the deaths of a woman and three horses.

According to a press release, members of the Renfrew detachment responded on Oct. 22 around 9:30 p.m. to Highway 132 near Hass Road in the Township of Admaston/Bromley.

Emergency responders found a woman inside an SUV and loose horses. The 39-year-old driver from Arnprior was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Three horses were also killed in the crash.

“The OPP recognizes the emotional impact this incident has on the local community,” police said.
