Warning issued for heavy rainfall in Ottawa

Environment Canada issues a yellow warning for heavy rainfall for Ottawa, bringing up to 100 mm of rainfall in certain areas.

The warning says the rain will reach 50 to 80 mm in total, but the areas reaching 100 mm are those which receive multiple thunderstorms.

The heaviest rainfall is expected Sunday evening, but may last through to Monday morning in certain parts of Eastern Ontario.

Flooding and pooling in low-lying areas is possible and residents are urged to avoid driving through flooded roadways
