Crack cocaine, fentanyl trafficking charges laid in Centretown

A man is facing several charges of drug-trafficking after “numerous” community complaints brought police to Centretown.
Officials said reports of drug activity in the area of Cooper Street led to the arrest and charging of a 47-year-old man. According to a release, members of the neighborhood resource team were brought in after people in the area reported issues.
As a result, the man is facing:
- 21.9 grams of crack cocaine
- 11.5 grams of fentanyl
- 103 hydromorphone pills
- A scale
- Two cellphones
- $1,275 in Canadian currency
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them. They are also encouraging people to continue reporting drug activity in their communities.
