One dead following fatal collision in North Glengarry Township

A collision between a car and a motorcycle on County Road 43 near County Road 30, North Glengarry Township has resulted in the death of a 77-year-old man from Cornwall
Members of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a collision on Saturday, August 29, 2026, just after 3:30 p.m. They found that a passenger vehicle turned left in front of an oncoming motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, A 77-year-old man from Cornwall, was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries.
County Road 43 was closed in both directions between County Road 30 and Dornie Road for several hours and has since reopened.
The investigation remains ongoing with support from the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team.
