Vanier kitchen fire injures fire fighter

Ottawa Fire says multiple calls came in to 911 after 9:00 pm Monday night reporting a fire in Vanier.
When fire fighters arrived at the three-story apartment building at 126 Jolliet Avenue, all residents had already evacuated.
Fire fighters quickly knocked out the fire which was in the kitchen on one unit, but one fire fighter sustained minor injuries and a woman was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
Damages is estimated at $50,000. The cause of the fire is not known.
