Man in custody after threatening ex-girlfriend

A man from Alfred is in custody after he allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend with a piece of a chair.

Police investigated a domestic assault today after a 42-year-old man harassed his ex-girlfriend.

Investigators learned the woman was also assaulted and threatened in July at a North Glengarry residence.

A suspect was arrested and was to appear in court in Cornwall. The man faces charges of assault, three counts of uttering threats, mischief, criminal harassment and breach of probation.
