Fire desroys house in Dunrobin

Ottawa firefighters spent early New Year’s day battling a house fire in Dunrobin.
The call came in shortly after 2 am and when firefighters arrived, a two-story house was fully engulfed in flames.
One nearby house was protected by firefighters from ash and sparks. The fire was brought under control shortly after 3 am.
The house was a total loss and only two walls are still standing, it appeared to be vacant and there were no contents. Damage is estimated at around $400,000.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
