OPP officer facing charges

An Ontario provincial police officer from the Cornwall area is facing several charges after allegedly threatening his former spouse.

Police say the Professional Standards Bureau was called in last week to investigate after receiving information about the alleged threats.

A 43-year-old man was charged with threatening.

Police say the officer was off duty at the time of the alleged incident.

He will appear in court in Brockville on February 18.
