Murder suspect spotted in Saskatoon

Police say a man being sought in connection with the slaying of a Manitoba woman has been spotted at a Saskatoon hospital.

A Canada-wide warrant for second degree murder has been issued for 51-year-old Russell Gordon Mcdiarmid

He’s charged in the death of 33-year-old Nancy Swenty. The R-C-M-P say they’ve confirmed Mcdiarmid was spotted in Saskatoon at a hospital late Thursday night.

They also believe he may be armed, and heading to B.C. in a stolen 2006 grey Ford Ranger pickup truck. Swenty’s body was found near Poplarfield, Manitoba last week, a month after she was reported missing.
