A construction worker has been killed at the site of a condo building going up on Richmond Road near Island Park.
The Citizen reporting the man was Ross Angus, a married father of two who was working for Schindler North America. Schindler had been subcontracted by Ashcroft Homes to install elevators at the condo building.
Angus had fallen from the elevator shaft. Fire officials say Angus had no vital signs when he was discovered by another worker.
The elevator was parked on the sixth floor but it is not known whether Angus fell from the elevator cab or another floor.
Police tell 1310News that they were called to the site just before 10 o’clock this morning. The Ministry of Labour has taken over the investigation.
