Gym attendant saves life of Ottawa man after cardiac arrest at Nepean Sportsplex

NEPEAN- A 52-year-old man is lucky to be alive after a gym attendant used his training skills to revive the man in Cardiac Arrest at the Nepean Sportsplex just before 8:30pm Saturday.
The staff at the complex started CPR and used the Public Access Defibrillator to deliver a shock to the patients stopped heart.
The gym attendant who finished his Automated External Defribilator training last week, was able to get a pulse just before Ottawa Paramedics arrived.
The man is in the Ottawa Hospital in critical condition.
