UPDATE: Nearly 120 cattle dead following $2M barn fire near Manotick

Ottawa fire officials now say nearly 120 cattle are dead after a barn fire near Manotick.
According to Ottawa Fire Services (OFS), firefighters were called to First Line Road, near Century Road East, around 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 20.
OFS called for additional help after heavy smoke could be seen while crews were en route to the scene.
Firefighters were able to protect neighbouring silos and other barns, but damage in the fire is expected to total more than $2-million.
The fire has been controlled from spreading to neighbouring structures, tragically at least 80 head of cattle have perished in the fire. Firefighters will remain on location for several hours to ensure the fire is entirely out. An @OttFire Investigator is on location. pic.twitter.com/QJNxpQFv10

Heavy equipment was brought in to assist in moving the debris to ensure the fire was entirely out.
A fire investigator has been called in to determine the cause of the blaze.
