Cathy Curry announces she’s running in this fall’s municipal election

Kanata North Coun. Cathy Curry hopes the people of Kanata North will check her name on the ballot box in this fall's municipal election.

Coun. Curry announced on The Sam Laprade Show on April 19, 2022 that she has decided to put her name forward and will seek to become Kanata North's municipal representative in the October 24 municipal election.

“I have decided to run,” said Coun. Curry. “I had to figure out a few things in my life before I made the decision, but I have been encouraged by so many people to run.”

Curry, a former trustee and chair with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, was appointed Kanata North's councillor in November of 2021, replacing Jenna Sudds, who became Kanata-Carleton's latest federal representative.

“We will see what Kanata North thinks,” added Curry. “But I would be honoured to represent the people in Kanata North.”
