The city-run long-term care centre, Centre d’accueil Champlain, continues to add to its COVID-19 case count as it goes through another facility-wide outbreak.
Donna Gray, general manager of community and social services, confirmed another positive case of the virus among its residents Thursday evening.
This brings the total positive cases among residents to seven. Positive staff cases remain at 25 and visitor cases at four.
It was reported earlier Thursday that one death has occurred as a result of the outbreak.
Outbreak precautions also continue to remain in place at Garry J. Armstrong home, where one staff has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.
