Centre d’accueil Champlain longterm care home adds another staff case of COVID-19

By Dani-Elle Dubé

Vanier’s Centre d’accueil Champlain long-term care home has confirmed another case of COVID-19 among its staff.

The case was confirmed Thursday by Donna Gray, general manager of community and social services, in a memo to council.

This brings the home’s total number of cases to three — all of which are among staff.

Because of this, the centre continues to be on a facility-wide outbreak.

However, Carleton Lodge, another city-run long-term care home, has lifted its outbreak status.

There have been no new resident or staff cases in 14 days at the lodge.

Garry J. Armstrong, though, also remains on outbreak with three confirmed cases among its staff.
