Château Laurier raising funds for CHEO through Trees of Hope

By Mike Vlasveld

The Château Laurier is once again able to host its Trees of Hope for CHEO event in person.

“It's the perfect time to come with your family, with your friends,” Château Laurier General Manager Genevieve Dumas tells CityNews. “See the trees, they're beautifully decorated, we have 34 this year, and I'm telling everybody, just look at the ceiling, look at the detail of this place, I just can't believe how gorgeous it is.”

The themes for this year's event are 'Home for the Holidays' and 'Let it Snow.'

An online auction is ongoing until December 13, which will help raise funds for research at CHEO.

“I'm sure everybody knows somebody that knows somebody who needs this, at the children's hospital. You just wish that any kids, or any people you know, can survive [health issues they're going through]. So we need donations, we need that money to do the research and do anything that we can to help our kids.”
