Colonel By Drive reopening to vehicular traffic on Monday

A portion of Colonel By Drive that as been closed is set to reopen to vehicular traffic on weekdays.

A five-kilometre stretch of the roadway has been closed to traffic for the last two months to encourage active transportation like cycling, walking and running.

At 8 p.m. on Monday, September 6, Colonel By Drive will reopen between Daly Avenue, beside the Shaw Centre, and Canal Woods Terrace, near Bronson Avenue.

The stretch will remain closed on weekends from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., up until Monday, October 11, which is Thanksgiving Monday.

Update | As of 8 pm on September 6, Colonel By Drive will reopen to motor vehicles.

It will then be for active use only on weekends until October 11.
