Fighter jet to pass over Lansdowne before Redblacks game

By Mike Vlasveld

The Royal Canadian Air Force will be sending a CF-18 Hornet by TD Place Stadium.

It's scheduled to fly by before the beginning of the Ottawa Redblacks game at 7:30 p.m., Thursday.

The event is part of the Redblacks' Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Game, in which they host the Calgary Stampeders.

The Stamps are the CFL's only remaining undefeated team this season, at 3-0.

Calgary handed Ottawa its only defeat so far this season when the two teams met at the end of June, 24-14.

The Redblacks' 2-1 record has them atop the CFL's Eastern Conference early in 2018.
