Fire burns second flooded Constance Bay home

A flooded home in Constance Bay has caught fire, in the area's second fire this week.

The home, on Allbirch Road, is surrounded by floodwaters. A neighbour called 911 after seeing smoke and flames coming from the home, around 5:20 a.m., Wednesday. The fire was extinguished by 6:15 a.m.

Ottawa fire said two adults and one child were evacuated safely from the home. 

The total amount of damage is not yet known. A fire investigator is being sent to determine the cause.

This is the second house fire in the Constance Bay flood zone, this week. A two-storey house on Bayview Drive caught fire and burned down, Monday night.
