Fire crews attend to small plane crash near Carp Airport

There are no reported injuries following a small plane crash that happened near the Carp Airport.

Ottawa Fire Services said in a tweet that they responded to the crash shortly after 1 p.m., which photos show the aircraft had landed on the south side of the airport in a field at 1500 Thomas Argue Rd.

Crews said there was no smoke or fire visible, as well as no fuel spill.

Two passengers were in the aircraft at the time of the crash — a person in their 20s and another in their 70s, paramedics said.

They were assessed on scene but were found unhurt and did not need to be transported to hospital.

The scene was cleared by 1:30 p.m.
