Fire damages home in Ottawa’s west-end

Ottawa Fire Services responded to a call from a passerby about smoke and flames coming from the second floor of a home at 893 Dresden Crescent, near Woodroffe and Carling Avenues. 

Crews arrived at the scene on March 10 and found heavy smoke coming from the eavestrough.

Fire Services said no one was home at the time. 

The fire was declared under control at 9:13 p.m.

The amount of damage to the home is not yet known. 

An Ottawa Fire Investigator has been dispatched to the scene to determine the cause.
