By Dani-Elle Dubé

After some confusion of where and when to pick up free rapid antigen tests in the city this week, the Ontario government has confirmed that a site will be offering up four dates on which residents can get their hands on free tests.

The site will be open for business starting on Tuesday, December 21 in the city's west end.

According to the Ontario government, all the site in Ottawa will be located at the Minto Barrhaven Recreation Centre at 3500 Cambrian Rd.

The schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, December 21 starting at 7 a.m.
  • Wednesday, December 22 starting at 7 a.m.
  • Thursday, December 23 starting at 9:30 a.m.
  • Friday, December 24 starting at 7 a.m.

Several other locations are expected to be announced in the coming days.

LCBOs in Ottawa and across Ontario were giving out test kits, however, LCBO announced that its total supply of take-home kits has run out.

The Ontario government has said that free take-home kits will be made available throughout December until mid-January to Ontario residents at pop-up sites in locations like malls and city centres.
