It may be time to get out the flannel sheets, as this weekend's forecast includes words like 'windchill' and 'frost.'
"Well, there will be frost tonight [Friday], that's for sure. We're going down to at least zero and probably minus 2," explained 1310 NEWS Weather Specialist John Wilson. "That means that some plants may get nipped a little bit, especially the tender ones. The heartier ones may be alright."
Wilson noted that there could be a bit of a warm up later in the week, but nothing close to summer-like weather.
"The next little warm up early next week and then another little warm up next Friday, Saturday and then colder again on Sunday and Monday," Wilson warned. "There may be the first flurries of the season in there."
But, Wilson said this is normal weather for October and added that levels of precipitation are expected to be a little lower this fall.
